Conscious Consumption

The word “consumption” means the action and effect of consuming or spending, and is part of the behavior of all living things, either because they need products to eat for their own subsistence, for clothing, for healing, or because we need to meet these needs or desires.

Consumer, on the other hand, is the one who consumes, its not apart from the fact that the evolution of consumption has led us to a point where they can recognize today’s society, as a consumer society, indifferent to the needs of the environment we irresponsibly consume, a behavior that enhance global economies towards a “healthy economy”.

The loom is the traditional way of making clothes and textiles, generally most favorable to the country, but not to industries.

The loom is the traditional way of making clothes and textiles, generally most favorable to the country, but not to industries.

However, a Conscious Consumer, is one who covers their needs, whether personal or generated by life in society, always keeping in mind and considering the impact that their own consumption has on nature and other beings whom he shares nature’s protection and maintenance. A Conscious Consumer is not indifferent to the fact that their consumer choices cannot lead him to the destruction of the planet that he needs to live.

Therefore, a Conscious Consumer looks to buy healthy and organic products, is careful with the waste they produce, protects animals, builds with healthy, low-impact materials, does not use products that imply animal suffering, etc.

Mother Nature is asking us for a real change. We cannot continue consuming and supporting industries that sell products that cause pain to our good mother or any of her children, our brothers. From what we eat to what we wear and listen to can make a huge difference.

Everything that comes from cruelty, either against animals, humans or nature must be stopped, and for this to happen, we must stop consuming these products.

The consumer has great power in his hands, we make an impact by deciding who to give our money to or not, which is what businesses want. In addition, what we do or don’t consume shows our level of commitment to the welfare of all beings and the ideal of Universal Love.
