The Circle of the Planet’s Wise Elders met in Cusco, Perú during the month of December (19th-22nd) to receive the summer solstice and reflect on solutions to the dangers lurking for our Mother Earth.
Over twenty elders from all around Abyayala (from Chile, Ecuador, Argentina, Guatemala, Bolivia, Perú, among others) represented the voice of each people, offering solutions for these difficult moments in which the Pachamama is being heavily exploited.
The invitation to this meeting proclaimed the need to gather solutions to stop damaging Mother Earth, through the spirituality of ancestral peoples.

“We’re living with so much worry that, despite so much intellectuality, we won’t be able to achieve stopping the danger facing our planet, a danger that causes ourselves the same damage as Mother Earth, to the different layers of our atmosphere, and to every living being that inhabits it. We cannot wait for this situation of planetary abandonment to revert from governments, nor from existing representative institutions. What’s necessary, is to look for a change from the spirituality of every single one of our grandparents on the planet, as spiritual guides, as elders. And why does it correspond to generate the instances that call for a general reflection, to achieve the strengthening of our Mother Earth, and so that human science can advance all normality”
The elders gathered, participated in the ceremony to receive the solstice, they shared from their own spirituality and proposed solutions for the situation of the planet, that they will now take to the respective peoples.
